As this textile is handmade by a family in Zimbabwe, and not in a factory, there are slight splotches of paint, some uneven lines and other unique signs of original art. This can be seen when zooming in on the photo. It also adds to the authenticity of the work.

These batiks unique as they are vintage, and totally the vision of the artist. There may be a similar one but no two are alike.

This Batik is 100% Cotton Back-weave. All Zimbabwe Batiks are 100% cotton and in two categories.

1. 100% Cotton Sheeting - Smoother, lighter weight

2. 100% Cotton Back-weave, the thicker, looser woven cotton, similar to a mud cloth texture, but all in one piece. The majority of the backweave, in this shop has fringe.
