Known as Goulée by Cos d’Estournel then renamed G d’Estournel from the 2019 vintage, this wine is generous and bold. Assertive, elegant and stylized, the gold-colored label unveils the elephant, the historical symbol of Cos d’Estournel, which majestically embodies the oriental inspiration that prevails at Cos and that was dear to its founder, nicknamed in his time “the Maharajah of Saint-Estèphe”. This vintage of G d’Estournel is predominately Merlot (86%) alongside Cabernet Sauvignon (13%) and Cabernet Franc (1%). It delivers vivacity and balance, at once it is fresh and rich, vigorous and discreet.
