Terrene means "of the earth". The process of which these rings are made is the oldest form of metal casting known. Originating in China in 1600BC sand casting is the process of pouring molten metal into a sculpted sand mold and it is addictively fun!  These rings are all one of a kind as the relation between the sand and the metal creates unique and distinctive textures. The only stones that can tolerate the 1,900 degree molten metal are Sapphire, Ruby, Diamond and Moissanite.
